Web Developer full-time

THE ROLE

LEAP Legal Software is a leading supplier of software to the legal profession. Joining the team as the Web Developer is a very rare opportunity to join the Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will collaborate with our global marketing team and web development specialists who will help shape the future. Our software is evolving to meet the demands of the modern and mobile law firms. We’re incredibly focused on development culture here and practice a bottom-up style of organisation, with a big focus on communication, collaboration and openness.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and maintain documentation on processes, practices and tech stack
• Implement QA best practices for codebase
• Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies
• Maintain website updates via CI/CD pipelines
• Managing updates and changes on all Canada websites and landing pages
• Design and implement new features, enhancements, and content of existing websites
• Managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Monitor the performance of the live website and troubleshooting content issues
• Ensure an SEO-friendly and user-centric approach across our digital properties
• Collaborate on digital marketing campaigns using Google Tag Manager and other APIs

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• Minimum of 8+ years of development experience with a Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Web Development or Computer Science is preferred (REST API, Git, Node JS, GraphQL, Babel, virtual DOM, Vue.js)
• HTML, CSS – Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
• SASS/SCSS – Proficient with CSS pre-processor languages e.g. SASS/SCSS
• Javascript – Highly proficient with the JavaScript language and its modern ES6+ syntax and features
• SSR & static site generation – Understanding of server-side rendering a static site generation benefits and use cases
• Vue.js – Highly proficient with Vue.js framework and its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM
• 1-2 years working with Nuxt.js framework and bundled features (Vue Meta, Vue Router, etc)
• GraphQL – Ability to use GraphQL to request relevant data from API’s
• Storyblok – Experience with building and consuming content via a headless CMS
• Strong analytical skills and experience with tools like Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Lighthouse, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager
• Experience with SEO tools for crawling, rank tracking, keyword research, and technical auditing
• Proven strong analytical and debugging skills
• Experience in developing and integrating complex software systems through the full SDLC
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Ability to debug complex technical issues
• Ability to work collaboratively with business users and managers
• Self-motivated and responsible, able to drive a project when necessary
• Experience with managing multiple priorities and tight timelines
