Role: Senior Director, Digital Marketing(NOC 0016)

Salary:  $175,000.00 - $250,000.00 /annum and Benefits (Extended Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance) + may be eligible for bonuses and salary increases, if applicable

Hours: 45 hours/week, Permanent

As the leader in the Channel Management Department, you will lead and motivate the teams responsible for delivering Everyday Luxury marketing content to our current and potential customers. As the Senior Director, Digital Marketing you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of innovative and brand-propelling content across digital channels including Aritzia.com, paid channels, and email.

1. ECOMMERCE MARKETING

To attract new customers, drive conversion, and build enduring relationships through an elevated eCommerce experience.

a) eComm Marketing Strategy – Establish the approach for how to engage our customer throughout the customer lifecycle, with considered Marketing at all stages.

b) Campaign – Lead the team to use our campaign content in the most cohesive and optimal way on Aritzia.com

c) Content Experience – Lead the team to elevate the client experience and position Aritzia as a world-class retailer online

d) Design Systems – Partner with the eCommerce team to develop repeatable infrastructure that enables quality, consistency, and scalability

e) Content Management – Lead the team to ensure accurate and optimized content while driving seamless process execution

2. PAID MEDIA MARKETING

To reach new and existing clients with targeted content, accelerating brand awareness and driving traffic to stores and Aritzia.com eComm Marketing Strategy

a) Paid Media Marketing Strategy – Establish the approach for how to drive awareness and purchase behavior for our target customer through the paid program

b) Campaign – Lead the team to use our campaign content in the most cohesive and optimal way through Paid Media

c) Customer Journey – Partner with Customer team to set the targeting approach and prioritize customer investments

d) Compliance – Lead the team to ensure communications are delivered in accordance with business and regulatory standards

e) Customization – Lead the team to connect to our audience in a customized and considered way

f) Partner Management – Lead the team to leverage best in class third parties to scale and optimize our paid programs

g) Program Management – Lead the team to drive continuous improvement through ongoing optimization.

3. DIRECT TO CONSUMER (DTC) MARKETING

To engage our subscribers through personalized and relevant content, driving qualified traffic to stores and Aritzia.com

a) Direct to Consumer Marketing Strategy – Establish the approach for engaging subscribers to drive traffic to stores and Aritzia.com

b) Campaign – Lead the team to use our campaign content in the most cohesive and optimal way through DTC Channels

c) Content Experience – Lead the team to elevate the client experience and position Aritzia as a world-class retailer through DTC channels

d) Subscriber Management – Lead the team to identify, acquire, and understand our clients and fans

e) Compliance – Lead the team to ensure communications are delivered in accordance with business and regulatory standards

f) Customization – Lead the team to connect to our clients in a customized and considered way

g) Platform Management – Lead the team to ensure accessibility to accurate assets and data, while driving seamless and optimized process execution

4. DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT

Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience

a) People Management – Lead and advance our people, maximizing their results through the 10 areas: Planning, Hiring, Onboarding, Evaluating, Developing, Engaging, Scheduling, Compensating, Transitioning, and Relating

b) Operations Management – Lead the day-to-day department priorities and net new initiatives by championing quality output, encouraging timely results, implementing a methodical approach, and setting up clear accountability across the team

c) Technology Management – Set the standard for high quality data management, ensure current systems are maintained and continuously improved, and identify, evaluate, and drive opportunities to secure future investments in technology

d) Finance Management – Lead the team to proactively maximize the department's financial performance, strategically leading opportunities to drive revenue growth and capitalize on smart spending opportunities

e) Analytics Management – Leverage reporting to identify opportunities, predict future outcomes, and improve the department's and organization's performance

The Senior Director, Digital Marketing will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • 7+ years of senior leadership experience in fashion marketing and brand management
  • Experience in leading and managing large teams and budgets
  • Strong background and proven experience in digital and online marketing strategies - including eCommerce, social media, and mobile in the fashion and apparel industry
  • Experience in global brand building and building eCommerce through direct to consumer marketing
  • Extensive experience in successfully integrating offline and traditional marketing strategies with emerging digital strategies to create a seamless customer experience across channels
  • Extensive experience with hands-on technical and tactical execution of online marketing tactics and analytics
  • Ability to understand changing market dynamics and learn new technologies
  • Experience in negotiating successful partnerships and contractual agreements
  • Strong leadership skills; proven ability to work cross functionally and within an executive leadership team
  • Ability to manage at both the strategic and operational level; superior strategic planning and organizational skills with a hands-on execution style
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and delegation capabilities
  • Impeccable communication and presentation skills
