POSITION DESCRIPTION

You will lead or support our clients’ work to build their lists, recruit volunteers, mobilize people to online and offline actions, and donate. You will work extensively with member driven organizations: labour, ENGOs, NGOs, and progressive political parties. Your job is to build tools, strategies and campaigns to mobilize members/supporters around specific issues or elections, and build engagement over time. You will do extensive capacity building, often over months or even years, to train our clients’ in-house staff - even as you work with them on specific projects and tools.

WHAT YOU DO

Senior Digital Organizer

• Managing staff and contractors writing content for digital platforms, including social media and mass emails, that drive action and engagement for our clients’ campaigns.

• Recruiting contractors and digital staff.

• Leading client discovery and strategic planning for digital organizing campaigns and digital mobilization and fundraising tools, including email, web and other digital channels.

• Building clear ladders of engagement for mobilization campaigns.

• ECRM projects: data infrastructure strategy, source codes and analytics strategy, engagement ladders and platform training.

• Accountable for ensuring all digital organizing work is impactful, including consulting work, and the digital organizing components of integrated campaigns.

• Email campaigns: strategy, planning, copy editing, segmentation, data requirements. coordination, testing and optimization, email QA, training and support.

• Reporting on results internally and to clients, and proposing strategy changes as needed.

• Leading tone of voice, goal-setting, ladder of engagement development, and brainstorming exercises with clients.

• Reviewing audience and targeting for acquisition campaigns.

• Review and provide feedback on client and Point Blank teammates’ content.

• Documentation of projects, including but not limited to:

• Development of briefs

• Meeting minutes

• Project evaluation and final reports

MUST HAVES

• You live or are willing to move to Ottawa, Vancouver or Victoria (in order of preference). Please note that exceptions might be made for exceptional candidates.

• You are a NationBuilder expert.

• You have done email fundraising.

MAJOR BONUSES

• You’ve managed the design and/or development of websites before.

• Experience with Blue State Digital.

• You have a network of potential contractors, employees and/or clients that would be willing to work with us.

• You write excellent copy.

• You’re a highly visual person.

• You are professionally multilingual
