Who we are searching for:

You are an experienced content writer with post-secondary education in writing or a journalism capacity and a minimum of 5 years hands on experience. As Content Writer, you will directly support our marketing team by creating relevant copy and engaging content, mapped to the buying process, to drive awareness, leads, web traffic and/or other important metrics. You have exposure to a tech environment in the past; you are a strong team player and have extensive experience writing thought leadership content.

Your role at IMS:

• Serve as an exemplary creative writer, consistent with our company’s tone and mission. You write clean, concise, error-free and polished copy.
• Generate thought leadership writing and copy that produces business results such as eBooks, white papers, mini reports, infographics, blogs and customer newsletters.
• Responsible for upkeep of collateral and web content, including SEO and blog article creation, to optimize search engines and lead generation
• Educate our customer base about our products and their benefits through case studies, testimonial, customer success stories and customer-focused content
• Help transform product capabilities into marketing messaging that engages target audiences
• Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email and content that assist buyers during the decision making process
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges in order to build effective marketing content
• Work closely and collaboratively with our Product Management, Human Resources, Sales, Business Development, Customer Excellence and Legal departments within IMS

Skills you bring to IMS:

• Post-secondary education in English, Creative Writing, Journalism or related studies
• A minimum of 5 years progressive writing experience with reviewable portfolio that includes examples of business writing
• Previous experience creating social media content and implementing best practices
• Team player with previous experience on a marketing team with a clear focus on collaboration
• Excellent organization skills and a proven ability to manage marketing projects
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Prior experience in an established technology organization is preferred
