Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment Services and working closely with the Recruitment Advisors, the Recruitment Representative assists with the writing and placement of vacancy advertisements, researches advertising options and costs, and administers processes related to recruitment and immigration of foreign employees, as applicable. In this role you will be representing the organization at events such as career fairs and on-campus recruiting.

The Recruitment Representative provides high level Recruitment technology support to the team and coordinates the recruitment department’s social media presence, including working with the team to develop a social media content calendar. This role will liaises with VCH Communications department to promote events, news and other content with a recruitment focus.

In addition, the Recruitment Representative also provides coverage to the Recruitment Advisors by assisting with the external posting of positions as well as reviewing applications and engaging in pre-screening activities including assessing candidates’ qualifications with respect to the position advertisement when requested.


  • Completion of a recognized diploma in Human Resources Management.
  • Two (2) years of related experience in a large and complex organization.
  • Experience with leveraging social media platforms including, but not limited to, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Hootsuite.
  • Proficient with WordPress and SharePoint an asset.
  • Skilled computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and database programs, e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Visio is required.
