Resonance is looking for an experienced, talented and detail-oriented Production Artist to join our creative team in Vancouver.
As our Production Artist you will be the final checkpoint in our creative process. You will catch the typos that everyone else misses. You are concerned with resolutions, colour and size accuracies, production values, and must know the difference between CMYK and RGB, spot colour and process, a vector or a raster – and much more.
The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design and attention to detail, take direction and feedback to ensure that expectations are not only being met, but exceeded. This role includes hands-on graphic design and production work across multiple applications and channels. They understand and are very skilled at content design. They can move a concept from a paper sketch to design layouts, print ad or video. They are skilled listeners who are able to execute a concept. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This is a challenging, multi-faceted and rewarding role with growth potential for the right candidate. The role is based in Resonance’s office in Vancouver B.C. and will report to the Creative Director.
Support Designers throughout the creative process by executing print, digital and video assets including but not limited to: brochure layouts, annual reports, brand guidelines, magazines, reports, infographics, websites, emails, social media content, paid media (banner ads, rich media) and mobile
Prepping and building files for client presentations
Efficiently and accurately pre-flighting artwork
Proofing and performing quality control
Ensure digital assets such as fonts, imagery, video and other forms of content are developed and formatted appropriately
Deliver designs under strict conceptual timelines in order to meet critical project deadlines
Liaison and collaborate with printers, and other production vendors
Offer solutions to improve production efficiency and performance
Be resourceful, quick and able to collaborate at all levels
3+ years of experience
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the latest versions of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign
Expertise in print production and techniques
Working Knowledge in Sketch, video editing, digital interfaces, and html a plus
Extensive, hands-on design skills
Excellent typographic skills and visual craftsmanship
A keen eye for detail when it comes to pre-flighting and proofing supplied artwork as well as preparing large-format files for print
Excellent time management and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize as well as multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
