PR/Social Media Manager

We’re looking for an experienced PR/Social Media Manager with exceptional copywriting skills. The ideal candidate can organize, summarize, clarify and communicate ideas clearly and quickly in a consistent voice. You will be responsible for writing compelling, benefit-oriented copy across multiple channels that captures the attention of our prospects, engages our customers, and educates partners with the value of our brand/products.

Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive, the successful candidate will plan, develop and implement PR strategies to build brand awareness, create buzz and maintain momentum for Sago Mini products. You will have experience with a variety of social media platforms and have a strong aptitude for community engagement. You will lead the development of social media assets, content calendars, social media messages, advertising and other adhoc initiatives to promote the Sago Mini brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, writes and edits marketing copy for various materials and channels including app store descriptions and screenshots, press releases, pitches, award submissions, product descriptions, landing pages, advertisements, promotions, email newsletters, presentations and social media posts

  • Plans, develops and manages the execution of PR campaigns (e.g., Influencer campaigns)

  • Identifies opportunities to drive paid, earned, shared, and owned content through print, online, and broadcast coverage

  • Develop unique story angles to secure coverage on an ongoing basis

  • Sources and manages speaking engagements

  • Creates, develops and manages media lists and pitching schedules

  • Builds and manages Sago Mini’s social media profile and presence across social platforms to deliver enhanced brand, product and community awareness

  • Develops and maintains the social content calendar and roadmap

  • Collaborates with graphic designers to develop engaging content pieces for various social platforms and marketing materials

  • Manage external agencies/vendors/freelancers as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related field preferred

  • 4+ years of PR and copywriting experience

  • Great storyteller with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills - impeccable spelling and grammar

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Stellar writing skills with the ability to switch between social posts, press releases, app store descriptions and web copy at a moment’s notice

  • Experience writing and developing content that communicates brand and product value propositions in a consistent voice across multiple marketing channels

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Impeccable attention to detail - strong proofing skills

  • A strong sense of urgency - works quickly, meets deadlines, iterates, and collaborates
