Key Accountabilities

  • In collaboration with our marketing, graphic and social media teams, design, write and produce visual content across all marketing channels including social media, website and search channels.
  • Create compelling content that engages followers and generates interest of customers and prospects while adhering to brand standards, web conventions and budgets.
  • Ensure that all graphic/multimedia solutions are in line with communicated strategy.
  • Edit and manipulate image graphics, sounds files, etc. convert and save appropriate for medium output.
  • Ensure consistent quality.
  • Assist with other design components of multimedia projects (print/email).
  • Visual projects include: 2D motion graphics and 3D animations, photo and video production/editing and static graphic images.
  • Utilize specified software to provide production, layout and graphic design in the development of multimedia creative projects, such as video (including animation), website (including dynamic graphics and interactive web elements) and other multimedia applications.
  • Lead large-scale projects and collaborate with third party vendors, as needed, to produce specialist content (e.g. photo/video professionals).
  • Manage video, sound and camera equipment as well as photo and editing software and tools that will be used both externally and internally.

Job Specifications

  • Post-secondary education in Design/Animation/Photo/Video or a related field.
  • Must be able to provide examples of projects related to key responsibilities.
  • Fluent with Adobe Creative Suite, with proven experience in 2D and 3D animation and motion graphics.
  • Ability to operate and maintain digital photo/video and lighting equipment.
  • A solid understanding of typography and composition.
  • High level of comfort with digital technology and eagerness to learn about new technology.
  • Knowledge of online consumer behaviour and social media platforms is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to be resourceful and eagerness to learn in quickly changing digital environment.
  • Ability to work non-conventional work hours on occasion, such as trade show events.
