We are looking for an outgoing professional who thrives on working in a dynamic and exciting industry. The successful candidate is responsible for creating and coordinating all marketing and promotions plans at the site level. The Marketing Specialist will also assist in executing digital plans and strategic marketing campaigns to support the property and all other business objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and coordinates promotions and events at the site level as directed
  • Liaises with site’s Manager, Marketing with purchasing media as directed
  • Assists in developing and coordinating communication updates within social media channels
  • Educates and executes on site communication for on and off site promotions and events in order to maximize awareness and participation from team members and guests; produces and oversees site roadmaps for the Marketing Department on a quarterly basis
  • Maintains up-to-date promotional signage at the site level
  • Tracks site marketing/advertising purchase orders; maintains spreadsheet logs and reports variances
  • Works with Operations on recap reports on site marketing activities and promotions using analytics
  • Works with and assists other GCC sister sites with the project management of Marketing/Promotional initiatives
  • Maintains the site marketing calendar; drafts promotional guidelines, contest conditions and creative briefs
  • Assists with and coordinates creative, segmentation, targeting schemes, A/B Tests for both Direct and Email Marketing
  • Assists in developing strategies to leverage and maximize loyalty program(s), including Encore Rewards
  • Liaises with regulatory bodies in support of shared marketing initiatives
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, team members, vendors and regulators
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary education in marketing, communications, business administration or suitable combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of marketing experience; gaming and/or hospitality experience an asset
  • Experience in planning and implementing events; proven track record in developing and implementing promotional and advertising plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Experience and working knowledge within all social media channels; (Hootsuite an asset)
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities and projects
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, strong communication & organizational skills
  • Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests
  • A passion for providing the Essential Elements of Excellence Guest Service to our internal and external guests
  • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment
  • Possess a high level of honesty and integrity
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Serving it Right, or the ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right certification
  • Ability to successfully obtain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
