Marketing & Advertising Specialist

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Marketing & Advertising Specialist will develop innovative advertising and marketing material for the China market. As this position will be dealing mostly with marketing to the China market, fluency in written/spoken Mandarin is mandatory.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service and advertising and marketing material for the Chinese market to expand market presence and drive sales
  • Identify advertising and marketing needs for Chinese clients in support of sales initiatives
  • Manage Chinese marketing material to assist with lead generation
  • Initiate market research and evaluate the China market for ideal target demographics, expansion opportunities, channels, and possible marketing partnerships in order to expand the business
  • Identify market opportunities and competitors within the China marketplace
  • Manage and prepare catalogues and brochures for clients and sales
  • Act as touchpoint for various media advertisements
  • Generate ideas for advertising and the corporate website to engage clients and convey product and promotional information to increase recognition of our brand
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to maintain relevant information on the company’s website
  • Contact various organizations for advertisements in newspapers, magazines, airports, and transit in Vancouver and Toronto
  • Manage and review all material for tradeshows and arrange gifts for trade shows, clients, special events, and sales
  • Act as the main contact for Tradeshows in Canada and USA
  • Translate various documents and marketing material as needed
  • Manage the keys of the company and create business cards for employees
  • Manage and forward daily emails from the company information email to sales and relevant department

Position Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in a Marketing related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the marketing and advertising industry
  • High level of creativity and imagination
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Posses the ability to absorb and analyze information quickly and thoroughly

Job Details

  • Schedule: Full-time Monday to Friday flexible hours
  • Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Salary will be determined upon candidate experience
