Sun Cabo is currently seeking an experienced marketing specialist to join their team. This position will be responsible for executing their marketing strategy, establishing external marketing, communications, managing day-to-day interactions with social media communities, and reporting.

The successful candidate is a self-starter who enjoys challenges and takes pride in their work. They collaborate well with others, and manage their time well. They are articulate, technologically savvy, and can bring creative ideas to the table. Some travel to Los Cabos, Mexico is involved in this role.

Responsibilities

• Execute an in-depth, multi-platform social media strategy
• Effectively manage social media communities, including platform maintenance, content creation, and conversation moderation
• Update and prepare email newsletters
• Write compelling copy for blog posts, email campaigns, and other marketing materials
• Proactively manage the agency's online reputation
• Ensure internal and external communications are on brand
• Manage paid advertising campaigns with Google AdWords and various social platforms
• Assist in executing a public relations campaign alongside external vendors
• Update and maintain press materials and coordinate media requests
• Expand upon existing marketing strategies and plan initiatives for next year
• Conduct monthly reporting for management
• Additional duties assigned by management

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree (Marketing preferred)
• 3-5 years of work experience in a marketing related role
• Ability to manage online communities
• Proficiency with social media applications and platforms
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with multiple audiences – both verbally and in writing (internal staff, external vendors/contractors, media, online communities, etc)
• Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to adapt to last minute requests, changing deadlines, etc
• Basic working knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Experience with documenting records and files
• Ability to compile data to produce reports, and ability to analyze reports provided by third party vendors or suppliers (eg. SEO reports)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience with email software like MailChimp preferred
