Marketing coordinator

Grant Thornton LLP is currently looking for a marketing coordinator to join our Interior British Columbia team (IBC). In this fast-paced role, you will execute a broad range of marketing activities in support of a team of motivated and energetic professionals focused on helping their clients thrive. You must be highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, and be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and external vendors. The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of IBC marketing plans/projects
  • Working collaboratively with national marketing & communication team to implement digital marketing strategy encompassing web, social, SEO and SEM
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all materials both online and offline; working with national marketing and contractors to develop and distribute branding across a range of online and offline channels
  • Working collaboratively with national marketing & communication team to
  • Ensuring appropriate promotional materials are created and are made available at all times, developing marketing collateral and presentations as required
  • Working with national marketing team to develop and analyze monthly analytics report for IBC
  • Assist in coordinating events such as lunch and learns, seminars, and sponsorship activities in conjunction with Business Development Manager for IBC offices
  • Leveraging productive relationships with colleagues in IBC and across firm, and within the community

The skills and attributes required for this position include:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma  in public relations, communications or marketing
  • 1-2 years of marketing/communications experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing
  • Basic SEO and SEM knowledge
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills are essential, with demonstrated experience writing for social media (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint (required) and Adobe Creative Cloud suite (desirable) and strong awareness of design and typographic principles
  • Exceptional attention to detail/accuracy
  • Detailed-oriented with a high standard for quality
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data with the objective of using those insights to present actionable ideas
  • Personal interest in staying current on marketing and business development trends
  • Experience with email marketing and CRM strategy will be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to our offices in the Kootenays required
  • Strong organizational and project management skills – must be able to juggle and prioritize competing projects and interests
