JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Golder Associates has an immediate opening within our Business Operations Group for a Marketing and Proposal Coordinator. Working under supervision of the Ottawa Marketing Manager, and in close consultation with management from technical consulting divisions, the successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of division and / or group-specific marketing strategies in the context of Ottawa Operations objectives.
The successful candidate will:
•Undertake market research; analyze trends; determine needs and expectations of target markets recommending strategies to meet needs;
•Develop and implement marketing plans with and for assigned client(s);
•Work collaboratively with team members to drive and manage advertising, promotional, brand management and client relationship development activities in support of business goals and objectives;
•Initiate and track client satisfaction surveys, report and recommend quality improvements;
•Develop and maintain materials for internal and external communications;
•Participate in the proposal process and post-award debriefing;
•Coordinate the planning, development, and implementation of the comprehensive marketing strategy and tactics, including all collateral and positioning, in support of workshops, tradeshows, and conferences;
•Represent Golder at trade shows, and other industry and/or community events;
•Identify opportunities within related media, conferences, seminars, and online news;
•Promote branding initiatives;
•Conduct internal and external follow-ups / debriefs for marketing initiatives; assist in the tracking and assessment of initiative success; document these for appropriate distribution from the perspective of continuing improvement;
•Lead applicable client database utilization, analysis and maintenance;
•Track, prepare, and deliver reports on marketing programs and initiatives;
•Perform other duties as required to support Golder's success.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
•A proven ability to prepare marketing plans with a blend of focused research, strategy, and creativity;
•Experience in developing and executing activities in the context of a strategic plan;
•Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking and time management skills to meet deadlines;
•Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and Adobe Products and experience working with contact management software;
•Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills;
•Energetic, self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented;
•Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable;
•A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization;
