Online Marketing Specialist Full-Time

Absolute Software has an opening for a seasoned Online Marketing Specialist reporting to the Manager, Marketing Programs. This tactical position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate their expertise in executing on marketing programs and reporting on demand generation for the global marketing organization. Working with the Manager, Marketing Programs and larger Marketing team, the successful candidate will execute program deliverables and analyze campaign performance.

As an Online Marketing Specialist, your responsibilities include:

  • Execution of customer acquisition lead generation programs
    1. Managing email marketing and email automation programs
    2. Management of corporate content syndication programs (whitepapers, etc.)
    3. Management of online advertising programs (web banners, etc)
    4. Management of Pay per Click advertising (PPC) via Google Adwords
    5. Creating industry segmented lead and customer lists
    6. Executing email-based customer retention and lead nurturing email campaigns
    7. Developing custom list segments for sales call down as part of sales promos
  • Lead Management
    1. Managing lead entry into CRM (direct and via third party vendors)
    2. Driving additional lead management & CRM integration processes
    3. Locating, testing, and analyzing appropriate data sources to enhance data quality and completeness
    4. Serving as lead management liaison to Absolute’s sales organization
  • Reporting
    1. Creating and maintaining standardized marketing reports and metrics across the marketing organization
    2. Production of Absolute’s weekly global lead generation report and other weekly/monthly/ad hoc reports, as required
    3. Collaborating with international, channel and events marketing teams on lead reporting
    4. Gathering metrics on the success of each program as well as overall lead generation performance, including lead-to-cash analysis


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing management, business or a related field
  • 3+ years experience in marketing programs and operations execution
  • Power user-level experience with database-oriented CRM software products
  • Power user-level experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using an email marketing tool, preferably Marketing Automation (ie Eloqua)
  • Experience using a CMS tool such as Sitefinity or Sitecore
  • Experience with Google Adwords
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to effectively set priorities and manage multiple tasks and resources
  • Ability to function effectively in a distributed, complex organization
