As our product has extended from the iPhone to a web-based platform, and now also a physical representation called the Kabuni Studio, the demands of the business are increasing rapidly. As a start-up looking to scale, the needs of our marketing team has also grown.
We’re looking for a Marketing Operations Coordinator who will assist us in managing and executing our marketing initiatives. You need to be familiar with modern marketing tools and disciplined in digital marketing, yet still have a solid foundation in the principles of general marketing theory. You will also have an appreciation for lunch, because clearly that’s the best meal of the day despite what all of the studies say.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Operations Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee the execution of an eDM strategy, including editing copy for conversion, direction of design, targeting, deployment and marketing automation
Execute Social media advertising, SEO, and SEM strategies
Ensure all marketing efforts are being tracked and reported against, working closely with our data analyst to ensure the team is getting sound data from which to draw insights
Oversee the management of content and contact data through our CMS/CRM system, ensuring the timely and accurate management of both systems
Working closely with our copywriter, ensure our content strategy is translated into on-brand messaging and reflected through each channel
The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of copywriting for conversion including subject lines, headlines, and CTA. Working closely with our copywriter, this role would largely ensure our communications are efficient in driving ROI
Assist the marketing team in general, including coordinating deliverables and working with third-parties / agencies as required as a contact point.
The experience, qualifications and skills to be the Marketing Operations Coordinator at Kabuni are as follows:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline
3-5 years’ experience in marketing, digital, and/or agency roles
Previous experience working in a start-up is highly desirable
Have a sound knowledge of SEO principles, including the ability to audit, strategize, and execute for organic or paid search
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a strong knowledge of copywriting for conversion
A strong understanding of branding, ensuring this knowledge is upheld through all activity
Proficient in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn advertising platforms; including the ability to employ targeting and tracking techniques, conversion copywriting, split testing, and optimization
Experience using CMS and CRM systems, including eDM systems
