Reporting to the General Manager, Marketing and Brand Development, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, projects and events that support revenue generation and an enhanced customer experience at Toronto Pearson by way of: working closely with category marketing managers and the Agency of Record to coordinate the creation of content and design for marketing campaigns, product launches and in-terminal events; overseeing the production process by coordinating the printing and distribution of marketing materials according to the approved plan; monitoring project progress and analyzing results of marketing activities and providing recommendations on future campaigns; actively managing tactical marketing campaigns from concept to completion; and update marketing activity on the Department’s internal web portal.
The incumbent will actively participate in the development and execution of Toronto Pearson’s brand plan and will: adhere to brand standards, ensure consistency across all output; assist in the on-going implementation of the Toronto Pearson brand identity across all mediums; and ensuring proper alignment and position of the Toronto Pearson brand in partnership campaigns. He/she will be responsible for organizing Toronto Pearson’s presence in industry exhibits and events and will participate as required by: working collaboratively with Tourism partners in the exchange of relevant information and marketing collateral; coordinating the development of promotional displays and marketing materials to represent Toronto Pearson at industry related conferences and exhibitions; and identifying potential new external partnerships that contribute to achieving Toronto Pearson’s strategic goals.. The incumbent will manage the inventory of Toronto Pearson branded promotional items for marketing activities as well as manage vendor/supplier relationships to source and distribute an inventory of relevant promotional items for use at industry conferences, exhibits and employee events. He/she will perform other related duties as required.
The successful candidate must possess a University degree in Communications, Marketing, in a related Humanities program, and/or a post graduate certificate in communications which includes formal training in the development of marketing programs and media planning. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years experience in developing and executing marketing programs in a consumer driven environment is essential, and knowledge of desk-top design and layout is deemed to be an asset. He/she must also have a valid Ontario Driver’s License.
The successful candidate must have sound knowledge of: marketing fundamentals, channels, strategies and tactics to provide support in all aspects of the marketing and communications process. He/she must have strong computer skills and an understanding of Design and Publication based software such as: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Quark Xpress. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their creative aptitude and have unrelenting commitment to customer service. He/she must have excellent project management skills with an ability to respond to urgent requests in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines. The incumbent must also have excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) with the ability and willingness to seek input, understand feedback and rally the support of internal stakeholders on marketing programs. A written test may be administered as part of this competitive process.
