The Willow Stream Spa is a 11,000 square foot spa, including 9 treatment rooms and a 2,500 square foot outdoor patio with water features. Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, responsibilites and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Develop and lead the execution of an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing to ensure profit growth

  • Develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand, strong revenues and help to build the hotel’s reputation
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the hotel in the market (includes food & beverage outlets and Willow Stream Spa)
  • Research, analyze and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on
  • Contribute to initiatives within the hotel that drive community relationships and profile
  • Monitor industry trends and make recommendations for strategic growth and change
  • Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed based on market intelligence
  • Oversee the creative development and production of all the hotels advertising and promotion activities including media communications, collateral, websites etc.
  • Communicate with outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns
  • Work closely with the Internet Marketing team to deliver innovative and creative on-line campaigns
  • Manage brand image and communications through social media platforms
  • Initiate and implement creative ideas to market the hotel food & beverage and spa offerings
  • Responsible for the management, growth and strategic use of the hotel database
  • Report monthly on ROI of marketing initiatives with recommendations for tactical changes to improve on investments
  • Ensure consistency of information across all mediums (print materials, internet, etc)
  • Coordinate photo shoots as required
  • Ensure that advertising and promotional budget is balanced and that projects are prioritized based on the available resources
  • Support and encourage positive team approach
  • Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times
  • Perform any and all other tasks which are assigned


Minimum 5 years of Marketing experience required

  • Post secondary diploma/degree in Marketing and/or Hospitality and/or Business required
  • Experience leading strategic and marketing planning process including budget management
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data
  • Expertise in graphic design and copywriting a strong asset
  • Previous experience with website management an asset
  • Strong computer literacy (PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented; keen eye for proofreading
  • Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management and administrative skills
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize to deliver exceptional results
  • A passion for guest service and excellence
  • Positive attitude and supportive, team-based approach towards the attainment of the hotel’s short and long term goals

Ability to work flexible hours and days

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
