Marketing Manager full-time
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the leasing of the rental suites to maintain optimal occupancy levels in the retirement community.
Key Activities
Resident Relations:
Orients new residents to ensure a smooth transition to the community
Responds to resident issues and family inquiries and concerns relating to accommodations and living arrangements
Identifies and resolves independent residents¡¦ concerns and issues in a timely and effective manner
Co-chairs the Resident Advisory Committee
Leadership:
Provides staff supervisory duties, recruits, trains and develops staff; schedules, assigns and monitors work; evaluates staff performance; ensures a healthy and safe work environment; resolves conflicts and grievances; and takes appropriate disciplinary/termination action
Cross trains and provides support to the Social Coordinator/Community Relations Coordinator as required
As an integral member of the site leadership and corporate marketing teams, participates in strategic planning and decision making
Liaises with Regional Marketing Manager
Budget & Financial:
Forecasts, monitors, and approves expenditures from funds allocated to the budget
Marketing & Occupancy:
Develops, promotes and implements marketing plans to ensure optimal occupancy is achieved for the site in conjunction with the General Manager and the Regional Marketing Manager
Develops marketing strategy and prepares advertising campaigns in conjunction with the General Manager and the Regional Marketing Manager
Conducts tours; provides information to the general public and community organizations; and follows up on leads in a timely manner
Develops and fosters partnerships within the community
Leases the rental units in the retirement community
Encourages outside groups to use community for marketing purposes
Shares information and participates in corporate marketing committees to develop and implement best practices throughout the organization
Regulatory Compliance:
Prepares Residency Agreements and maintains pertinent records
Operational and Administrative Systems:
Computer reporting system
Qualifications
Experience in marketing and/or customer service
Experience working with seniors
Education:
Successful completion of secondary school or equivalency
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to plan, organize, and direct delivery of social events
Ability to network and promote services
Ability to multi-task
Creative thinker
Computer literate with knowledge of related software programs
Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively in English
Customer service oriented
Ability to maintain effective interpersonal and team relationships
Conflict resolution skills
Demonstrates empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors
Special Requirements
Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations
Must be willing to work the hours necessary to ensure the effective operation of the facility
Valid provincial drivers license required
