Marketing Manager full-time
Tourism Richmond is a non-profit, membership driven destination marketing organization (DMO). The primary mandate of Tourism Richmond is to enhance awareness about the destination through sales and marketing initiatives and by providing excellent visitor and member services. Ultimately, Tourism Richmond¿s goal is to increase economic activity related to tourism for the City of Richmond and all stakeholders. As British Columbia¿s 4th largest DMO and 2010 Venue City with the Richmond Olympic Oval, Tourism Richmond is one of the host tourism destinations that make up the 2010 Tourism Consortium partnership created to coordinate the overall Olympic Games plan for the BC and Canadian tourism industry.
SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the marketing activities as well as client and agency relationships. This position has a heavy focus on project management, scheduling and coordinating the implementation of marketing projects. The Marketing Manager is key to the development of the entire marketing department's deliverables, including advertising, translation, print collateral, e-newsletters, e-invites, and web content. The Marketing Manager updates our website, writes copy and is involved with social media.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
- Manage, schedule and coordinate all marketing activities with other departments for development and delivery of the department's projects
- Pro-actively drive all project schedules in meeting project timelines
- Manage project production schedules with agencies, stakeholders, Creative Designer and Marketing Director
- Manage contracted service providers (designers, writers, photographers, etc)
- Utilize organization's as well as agencies project management software
- Seek input and collaborate with agencies and stakeholders within the organization
Marketing Management
- Provide input on all marketing efforts and collaborate with marketing team
- Manages campaigns and advertising plan (development and maintenance)
- Copy writing, proof reading and editing of marketing messages
- Coordinate the maintenance of the website
- Work within the CMS system of the website and update content
- Maintain marketing related data in the CRM system and capture general and qualified data
- Send out e-blasts through the CRM system
- Perform budget maintenance duties, traffic invoices and POs
- Key marketing contact - internal/external, agencies, vendors, partners and members
- Participate in various internal teams and external committees; attends public events
- May supervise and/or lead support staff and/or student interns and/or volunteers
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
