Designstor is a creative technology company located in the heart of Toronto’s design and fashion district. For over 15 years we have created innovative renderings, animations and interactive works to help visualize and sell architecture and new developments in Canada and the US. We are currently expanding our services to include Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality solutions. Our work is a combination of creativity and technology rooted in architecture and design. The Marketing Intern will work under direction of our Marketing & Business Development Specialist to help with a wide range of Designstor’s ongoing marketing activities, directed to improving awareness and reaching prospective customers. We are looking for a bright and creative individual who is motivated to expand their knowledge and skills and ready for a challenge. The position is initially planned to be a three (3) month contract position, with potential to extend to a longer term.
Website Updates - uploading new projects and blog posts
Marketing Collateral - assist in designing marketing collateral for print & digital: infographics, ebooks, newsletter design, presentation, one pagers etc.
- Follow/assist in creating social calendar
- Regularly post to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn
- Grow our social media audience and engagement
- Analyze and report on engagement
- Organize team events
- Organize monthly company communications meeting, including catering & scheduling
- Coordinate employee celebrations (birthdays, work anniversaries, new employees)
External Events & Awards
- Help identify potential upcoming events & awards to participate in
- Assist with event planning as needed: panels, talks, demos, interviews, client events
Archiving Digital Assets
Organize and catalogue digital media archives of completed projects, according to company procedures
Required Experience & Skills:
Experience using Wordpress
Experience using Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
Experience using a social media scheduling tool such as Hootsuite/ Sprinklr
A good artistic eye and sense of design aesthetics
Experience with event planning and making arrangements with vendors and venues (food, restaurants, bars etc.)
Ability to work Independently with an entrepreneurial spirit
Curious and able to research and quickly learn unfamiliar topics
Some graphic design experience (e.g. Photoshop) is a huge plus!
$17-20 per hour, depending on experience and skills
