As one of Canada’s largest office furniture manufacturers and distributors, Heartwood Manufacturing Ltd. (est. 1985) has distinguished itself from other competitors with its commitment to quality, innovation and service. We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Marketing Coordinator/Graphics Designer in our Kelowna office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors
  • Participate in a team environment where creative concepts are developed for integrated marketing projects, including new product introductions, campaigns and targeted tradeshow exhibits
  • Design and maintain our portfolio of sales collateral and corporate templates (brochures, letterhead, price lists)
  • Create promotional marketing materials in any required formats for digital and print distribution, including writing compelling copy, email blasts and landing pages
  • Compile lists describing product or service offerings
  • Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services
  • Create regular newsletters for distribution to our dealer network, and maintain the mailing lists for these publications
  • Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings
  • Represent any of the companies in our group to our current and potential dealer network
  • Plan, design and develop interactive product presentations to educate dealers on product offering and services through group presentations, individual meetings, webinars and any other suitable formats
  • Create/maintain the digital price book, arrange for printing and distribution as needed
  • Manage the design, maintenance, structure and the updating of content on our websites
  • Liaise, as needed, with printers and other third-party vendors

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The candidate must have knowledge in these areas and possess the following skills:

  • Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
  • Experience with project management and strategic planning for future needs
  • Strong computer skills, including competence with Adobe Products such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
  • Degree, diploma or equivalent in communications design, marketing or graphics design
