The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Marketing Department in the execution of sales and marketing focused activities to promote CGC’s brand presence and promise.  The Marketing Coordinator is an integral member of the Marketing Team and reports to the Director, Marketing & Technical Solutions. The Marketing Coordinator will interact with all levels of employees throughout CGC and is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast moving work environment.

Performs a wide variety of administrative duties including compilation and distribution of monthly CGC Marketing Update, compilation of monthly review, meeting planning, invoice processing, and project budget tracking for annual CGC Marketing Plan.

Coordinates with other CGC departments to ensure that all CGC branded assets and communications are in compliance with Brand Guidelines.  Develops and manages promotional merchandise programs to promote CGC brand and Canadian Olympic Committee Sponsorship.

Works closely with USG Marketing and agency partners to supports the execution of CGC’s social media strategy and the broader PR & Media Plan.

Works with CGC Marketing team to develop and communicate value added content on platform.

Works with agency to manage email database in compliance with legislative requirements.


Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.  Significant relevant Marketing experience may be considered degree equivalent.

Minimum 3 years experience in customer service, sales or marketing.

Bilingual English / French.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external contacts.  Demonstrated proof reading and editing skills.

Intermediate understanding of social network platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.)

Strong customer service orientation.

Demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Advanced computer skills in MS Office 2007 Suite and Desktop Publishing.
