The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) is the voice of the land development, home building and professional renovation industry in the Greater Toronto Area. A high profile not-for-profit trade association, we represent more than 1,450 member companies who work building smart, innovative and liveable communities in the GTA.

We are currently seeking a marketing and communication coordinator. As part of a small in-house team, the coordinator will provide marketing and communications expertise and support on a variety of key association programs with a strong emphasis on events. This is a junior level position that features a diverse range of responsibilities.

What you will do:

•Coordinate promotion for all association events, including designing, developing and distributing event promotional material

•Support event management by tracking event registration, assisting with event set up and providing on-site support, and coordinating on-site and post-event social media

•Develop event related articles for association communications vehicles

•Administer the annual BILD Awards program including maintaining the program website, promoting and overseeing the submission process, coordinating and supporting award judging, and developing event collateral, information packages and reports

•Support association media relations by monitoring traditional and social media channels, developing media lists and reports, and distributing media materials

•Layout and distribute of communications products such as e-newsletters

•Design and layout of association marketing and communications products such as presentations, flyers and ads

•Assist with digital communications including updating and maintaining association websites

What you bring:

•University or college degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or equivalent discipline

•A minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing, communications, event promotion or public relations

•A flair for technology including knowledge and experience with digital marketing and content management systems, and with social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram

•Graphic design skills and experience with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

•Excellent writing and proofreading skills plus strong attention to detail

•Ability to prioritize, multi-task, set and achieve deadlines, and manage a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment
