We have a permanent full time employment opportunity in our Marketing Department for a Marketing Analyst. This position reports to the Managing Director, More Rewards.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the marketing function in analyzing the impact of various initiatives, including More Rewards promotions, advertising campaigns, team member offers, flier programs, product pricing promotions etc.

  • Undertake benchmarking of the More Rewards loyalty program to comparable programs.

  • Develop one-to-one marketing strategies that target customers based on their shopping behavior.

  • Undertake ongoing analysis of marketing spend in comparison to budget and other metrics, and recommend ways to proactively manage costs and improve return on investment.

  • Develop a set of marketing KPI’s and ongoing dashboard reporting.

  • Support the development of marketing plans, events and promotions.

  • Actively participate in the enterprise-wide Strategic Analysis Team in the undertaking of enterprise-wide analysis initiatives.


  • Relevant university degree or equivalent (business, marketing etc.)

  • Previous experience in an analytical role, ideally within a retail/consumer customer environment.

  • Strong analytical skills – able to reason logically, develop assumptions, extract and analyze raw data, and form appropriate conclusions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – able to produce professional and polished presentations for review by the senior management team that can summarize complex analytical reviews in an easy-to-understand format, together with well-thought-out conclusions and recommendations.

  • Proficient in the use of Oracle databases, the Oracle QlikView business intelligence application, and Microsoft Office applications (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Proficient in the use of social media applications.

  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, to manage multiple priorities, and to respond in a proactive and timely manner to tight deadlines.

  • Detail-orientated and organized.

  • An enthusiastic and outgoing team-player that enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
