Marketing Administrator contract
*This is a 6-month contract role*

OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist is an integral part of the marketing department and will assist with the development and execution of property wide promotions and events, as well coordinate vendor graphics, printing and communications. The ideal candidate will possess high-energy, creative personality, detail-orientated and have proven marketing experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Communications / Graphics
- Assist Marketing Manager on all Direct Mail and signage – final review before printing.
- Responsible for daily marketing collateral updates, revisions and submissions. Working closely with creative agency, translator and print shops. Update last minute collateral when needed.
- Prepare all monthly promotion items, signage, measurements and purchasing promo items.
- Assist with strategic planning and preparation of promotions, includes coordination with multiple managers and departments.
- Conduct weekly walk-throughs on property to ensure all collateral is up to date.
- Work directly with Signage Company for installations; ensure all build outs are applied correctly.
- Assist with events such as preparing before the event, setting up, registration or anything in between and clean up.
- Contact for creative submission to media outlets.
- Assist Marketing Manager in writing monthly promotion contest conditions for BCLC approval.
- Work closely with departments for all back of house signage and posters.
- Update and maintain marketing calendar as needed.
Other
- Provide administrative and creative support to entire Marketing department.
- In charge of all deliveries for the Marketing department.
- Order promotional items as needed.
- Assist in supervision and daily tasks of the Promotional Clerks as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining all marketing inventory, property storage and off-site warehouse.
- Responsible for ordering Marketing office supplies and collateral as needed.
- Assist in vendor/supplier quotes for branded items, gifts, vehicle draws and supplies as needed.
- Conduct prize drawings and host promotional presentations, projecting an enthusiastic friendly demeanor while also ensuring compliance with contest regulations if needed.
- Responsible for providing professional and exceptional customer service in accordance with established company standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Professional experience in a marketing related position, with special attention to creating, planning and executing special events and promotions.
- Post-Secondary education in marketing, communications or business preferred and/or relevant experience.
- Strong computer knowledge including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Desktop publishing and design experience, including familiarity with InDesign, preferred.
- Friendly, professional, detail-oriented and outgoing demeanor.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time wisely while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum 3 years’ customer service experience.
- Excellent administrative, organizational, communicative and written skills.
- Ability to organize, compose and communicate information to involved sponsors, and internal departments ensuring the success of all events and promotions.
- Proven ability to ensure promotions are carried out successfully and provide strong follow-up.
- Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision and solve problems as they arise.
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate operational needs of a 24/7 work environment.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese as a second language preferred.
- Previous gaming experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIRMENTS
- Valid GPEB license
- Serving it Right Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs.
- Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours.
