The Business Marketing Coordinator will work as part of PressReader’s B2B marketing team. We’re looking for a rockstar. We’re willing to train the right candidate, so junior career professionals and new grads with the right personal qualities (major hustle, passion and ability) are encouraged to apply. If you’ve got 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced marketing role, or if you’re a new grad with fantastic extracurriculars and a strong academic background, we want to hear from you.

This role is an amazing opportunity to gain incredible experience, own exciting projects, learn about all facets of marketing and business development across a range of industries, and work as part of an awesome team. We’re a very fast-growing company operating in markets all over the world, and you’ll be right in the middle of the action.

We’ll wait for the right candidate to come along, so be creative and wow us with your application. This isn’t an easy, casual marketing job where you can browse Facebook all day. You’ll have to work hard. You’ll probably have to read and learn lots in your spare time. But if you’re the right type of person, you’ll grow a lot and you’ll love every second of it.

This role is a full-time position based in our Richmond, BC office. Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our B2B sales team, our Head of Global B2B Marketing, our Marketing Events Specialist and our design team to strategize and execute B2B marketing campaigns – digital, print and event-based

  • Write content for blog posts, white papers, email marketing campaigns, marketing materials, and presentations

  • With guidance, execute segment-based marketing campaigns with a rigorous focus on analytics, optimization and ROI

Requirements:

  • You’re a native English speaker, with the ability to write grammatically impeccable, conversion-focused marketing copy

  • A Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business or a related field. Some quantitative coursework is an asset

  • An analytical mind and the ability to handle statistics and marketing data

  • A keen visual sensibility. You’re able to articulate a brand visually

  • Ambition and motivation. You’re not looking for a 9-5 role but rather the chance to be part of a hard-working, fast-moving team

  • Hustle. You will move mountains to get things done. You get motivated and try harder in situations where other people tend to give up

  • A passion for marketing, business and your career. You’re always learning and self-improving

  • A positive, can-do attitude and a sense of humour. This one is non-negotiable

  • Professionalism: you’re comfortable communicating with senior leadership at major companies

  • High level of organization: you don’t need to be micromanaged to hit all of your deadlines. You can be trusted to manage complex projects

  • Regular consumer of news and avid reader. You can name your favourite newspapers, magazines and books and you read them regularly

  • Willingness to learn and a collaborative attitude. You can take feedback without pouting, and you easily build positive relationships with your colleagues

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of growth marketing tactics and conversion optimization

  • A passion for the technology sector, evidenced by a deep knowledge of industry trends, practices, leaders and marketing strategies

  • Some comfort with programming, data analysis., HTML5 and/or CSS

  • You have a Twitter account and a following, or maybe a blog. You know how to market yourself on social media
