We’re looking for a technology-savvy graphic designer and all-around-nice person to join our team as a Marketing Coordinator/Graphic Designer. Based in our head office located on Beatty/Smithe, you’ll support real estate agents in multiple offices across B.C.  Our ideal candidate has at least three years’ experience in graphic design and production coordination, and the ability to deliver high-quality work while juggling many clients and deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Managing Broker–Greater Vancouver and National Creative Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Graphic Design & Production Coordination

  • Design and manage the production of marketing materials for over 50 real estate professionals in offices across British Columbia from concept through to pre- & post-production. This involves template-based and custom design of materials including print ads, property brochures, feature sheets, postcards, email blasts, listing presentations, signage, web templates and email templates.
  • Provide design and layout support for corporate marketing materials where required.
  • Ensure accuracy of all proofs and submissions, including proofreading/editing.
  • Manage pre- & post-production, ensuring high quality production and timely delivery of all marketing materials.
  • Coordinate all print production (in-house and sourcing external suppliers as required).

Co-operative Advertising Graphic Design & Program Coordination

  • Ensure all co-operative print, magazine and online banner ads, are submitted “on-time” and “on-creative”, by providing scheduling, project coordination, graphic design, proofreading and quality assurance support.
  • Actively promote and encourage agent participation in local co-operative advertising programs.
  • Communicate and reinforce deadlines/brand requirements to all agents while maintaining the highest level of client service.
  • Collect, organize and make quality control edits to all source materials from agents.
  • Ensure accuracy of all proofs and submissions, including proofreading/editing.

Agent Brand and Technology Training

  • Inspire pride and knowledge of the Sotheby’s International Realty Canada brand, marketing programs and technology platform by developing strong relationships with the sales team, and by providing regular agent brand training and support.
  • Provide professional, friendly and deadline-conscious support to agents.
  • Conduct brand orientation and marketing training sessions with agents to familiarize them with marketing and technology resources, tips, tricks and tools.
  • Provide agents and staff with timely answers to questions on corporate marketing initiatives and brand standards.
  • Work directly with new and existing agents to ensure brand compliance of their websites and marketing materials.
  • Work with agents’ third-party graphic and web designers to ensure delivery of brand compliant agent marketing materials.

Production and Supplier Management

  • With support from the National Creative Manager, identify Sotheby’s International Realty Canada approved suppliers to support local marketing needs and ensure their approval through Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates, including: printers, signage/hoarding producers, photographers, videographers.
  • Ensure quality and cost effectiveness of all suppliers.
  • Order and track signage, riders and other marketing materials for agents and the office as required.

National/International Marketing Program Support

  • Support national and international marketing, communications and public relations initiatives as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years graphic design experience in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment, preferably in an agency or real estate brokerage setting.
  • Positive, “roll up your sleeves and get things done” attitude.
  • Expert level competency in Adobe InDesign, and strong competency in Adobe Creative Suite 5 or 6 and Photoshop.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, objectives and deadlines.
  • Great communication skills, a passion for client service and the ability to communicate professionally and diplomatically, even in challenging situations.
  • Desire and enthusiasm for contributing to small team environment, which requires a combination of leadership, and willingness to roll up sleeves and “get things done.”
  • Interest and ability in training small groups using presentation systems such as Keynote.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities calmly and professionally.
  • Completion of post-secondary certification in graphic design required.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Some technical background, with knowledge of HTML5/XHTML/CSS, content management systems and a familiarity with website programming languages a significant asset.
  • Experience in using email management systems (e.g. Constant Contact, MailChimp etc) is desirable but not required.
