Blender is a full-service digital agency specializing in website design and digital marketing for publicly traded companies.  In the last decade we have worked with over 600 clients providing digital strategy, design, development, and marketing campaign management.


Our head office in Coal Harbour, Vancouver has an opening for a Front-End Developer. The role involves working on client projects as well as internal product development. The Front-End Developer will work closely with the company’s President, Creative Director, Project Manager and Development Team on strategy and project execution. We’re looking for someone very entrepreneurial who is highly creative and passionate about development.


  • Lead and collaborate in the development of client projects including websites and mobile interfaces
  • Follow industry best practices, and coding standards developed by Blender
  • Keep up with industry trends and contribute to knowledge sharing throughout the development team and company as a whole
  • Make quality assurance a top priority by testing, refactoring, and optimizing code to achieve the best performance, and strive for flawless and bug-free projects


This opportunity is for you if you meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Front-End Developer, ideally in an agency setting
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, JQuery
  • Experience with mobile web development (responsive, adaptive) and mobile first website development principles
  • Comfortable working with Adobe CS including Photoshop
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present ideas to a non-technical room
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong, analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A university or college degree is preferred but not required

Nice to haves:

  • Understanding of accessibility best practices, standards, and testing tools
  • Experience with digital marketing including PPC, remarketing, and native advertising
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and SEO
