YOUR ROLE ON THE TEAM

Amazon; you’ve probably heard of it. It’s the biggest e-commerce platform in the world; nearly a third of Americans have an Amazon Prime membership; and on average those people spend nearly US$1.5k a year on the site. It’s changed the way we browse, the way we shop and the way we spend our money. It’s also central to the explosive year-over-year growth that Nested Naturals has experienced over the past 5 years. Amazon has changed how people shop for the better, and it’s helping Nested Naturals change the way people take care of their health for the better too.

That’s where you come in. This is a full-time position working in the fast-moving, fast-changing, fast-growing Nested Naturals marketing team based in downtown Vancouver, BC. As the eCommerce Channel Manager at Nested Naturals you’ll be the heartbeat of the Amazon function of our business, responsible for continuing our trend of aggressive growth on the platform with support from the rest of the business. You’ll be joining an already experienced marketing team and helping us take our Amazon performance from good to truly great. You’ll be using every tool at your disposal - from digital advertising, to content marketing, to SEO, SEM, and of course the goldmine of data at our disposal - to grow our sales on Amazon in the US, Canada and beyond. This role is central to our company’s growth plan which means you’ll be equipped with a great deal of trust, autonomy and responsibility, which will be balanced with all the support, education and tools/equipment you need to get the job done right.

But what about you? You’re a personality that’s able to understand the big picture while being detail-oriented enough to really enjoy getting into the nuts & bolts of the Amazon platform and how it works. You’re a data nerd at heart, and love solving problems using the plethora of performance metrics at our disposal just as much as you love directly seeing the results of your work reflected in our sales & profitability. You’re a natural team player - you’ll be managing a team in-house and remotely, and working closely with all departments on the regular. You understand that teamwork is a delicate recipe of trust, autonomy, support and communication and you serve it like a Michelin Star chef. You’re meticulous, analytical, and an unrelenting force of action when it comes to solving the unpredictable problems that arise on the regular when navigating the Amazon jungle. Key Responsibilities:

Sales Performance:

  • Getting deep into our sales performance metrics to understand what’s rising & falling, finding solutions to course correct as necessary

  • Keeping your finger on the pulse of our review acquisition and keyword ranking campaigns ensuring they’re as efficient & effective as possible

  • Overseeing our Facebook advertising performance and supporting the Digital Marketing Coordinator in ensuring campaigns are running as effectively & cost-efficiently as possible

  • Overseeing our keyword ranking & PPC performance, supporting the SEO Specialist in ensuring our campaigns are running as effectively & cost-efficiently as possible

Project Management:

  • Liaising with Amazon contacts to ensure problems are solved as swiftly & efficiently as possible

  • Project managing various initiatives, including product launches, product refreshes, and seasonal sales events

People Management:

  • Managing relationships with our agency partners, ensuring results are delivered, reporting is accurate, and key relationships are sustained

  • Managing, supporting & leading the Amazon marketing team, helping to solve problems, grow skills and ensure the team is happy & fulfilled

What we’re looking for...

  • 4+ years marketing experience, either in an agency or in-house

  • 3+ years ecommerce experience - Amazon experience is significantly preferred

  • 2+ years experience of experience managing/leading teams

  • Experience working in health & wellness or startups/small business is encouraged

  • Strong logical & analytical skills are essential

  • A proven track record of delivering sales results in an ecommerce environment

  • A keen attention to detail - typos make you mad and numbers make you happy

  • A relentless problem-solving attitude - you’re deeply motivated by achieving results and moving the needle

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite, especially Excel/Gsheets

  • A natural team player whose natural inclination is to claim responsibility, and earn it too

  • An active interest in supplements, health & wellness, and ethical business practices

  • A personality that’s comfortable working independently, but that knows when to ask for help
