The person in this position is responsible for developing marketing strategies and tactical plans that support objectives in assigned mandates. The direct marketing advisor makes plans, ensures that they are carried out and handles projects and other marketing activities set out in action plans, then measures the results and makes recommendations for improvement as necessary.
Develops and carries out strategies and mandates that optimize the rollout of products and services and that support business objectives.
Oversees the design, production and implementation of tactical plans and of the activities set out in the plans.
Supports and advises the business unit and clients in reference to direct marketing activities.
Contributes to strategic thinking exercises and recommends effective and profitable direct marketing strategies.
Measures the performance of activities and recommends adjustments necessary to meet specific objectives.
Manages the ROI of his or her projects and ensures that deadlines are met and that the quality of deliverables is achieved.
Establishes and maintains business relationships with external suppliers and internal contributors.
EDUCATION & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Post Secondary Education (Bachelor Degree) in a business related field or extensive experience in lieu.
5 to 7 years of experience in direct marketing.
Experience in dealing with advertising and direct marketing agencies and suppliers.
Knowledge of direct marketing techniques, communications and advertising
French language competency an asset.
Advanced knowledge of the English language, including strong English writing skills.
