As an integral member of the Advertising and Promotions Department, the Digital Specialist is responsible for increasing the online share of voice and conversion for The Jim Pattison Auto Group and its dealerships, and improving our customer experience in digital media.  The Digital Specialist creates digital marketing strategies, and implements online solutions based on knowledge of digital trends, web development, analytics, and targeted communications.  The Digital Specialist manages the digital presence for The Jim Pattison Auto Group, including the strategy and execution for all website development, online retail campaigns, SEO and SEM strategies, CRM and targeted e-mail campaigns, and social media marketing for the group and each dealership.


The ideal candidate is a results-driven and motivated specialist who is well-rounded and self-sufficient in all aspects of digital media and digital marketing. The ability to multi-task and problem-solve is extremely critical.  The successful candidate possesses high energy, a forward-planning approach, and a high level of self-motivation in a fast-changing environment.

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing

  • Excellence in strategy and execution of a broad range of online campaigns

  • Expertise in content management platforms, back-ends

  • Strong hands-on experience in developing and maintaining web content

  • Solid hands-on proficiency in HTML/CSS; coding and web development expertise strongly preferred

  • Proven hands-on success in creating and implementing SEO and SEM strategies

  • Proven hands-on success in developing and writing content for websites and online campaigns

  • Proven results in developing and executing social media marketing campaigns

  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Adobe design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Degree or equivalent experience in internet marketing, advertising, communications preferred

  • Automotive and retail marketing experience strongly preferred

  • Experience working with automotive CRM software strongly preferred

  • Current in digital and mobile marketing trends

  • Outstanding attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written communication skills and business relationship skills

  • Solid experience in overall coordination and project management

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
