Reporting to the Digital Lead, this role supports the Employee Support Solutions (ESS) Marketing and Communications Team with the day-to-day maintenance of our digital assets within the department.

The Digital Marketing Specialist will rely on their strong self-starter attitude, organizational skills, attention to detail, quality assurance, and customer service excellence to ensure duties and responsibilities are executed efficiently and effectively. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates in the early stages of their career who wish to learn and develop in digital asset management and marketing communications.

The Digital Marketing Specialist will be part of a small team executing activities in the following key areas:

  • Digital platform optimization and development
  • Sales and lead growth initiatives
  • Digital marketing
  • Product development and maintenance
  • Competitive intelligence
  • Marketing communications

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day maintenance of digital assets (websites, mobile applications, email campaigns, etc.), requiring content creation in the CMS, testing and trouble-shooting, performance reporting and analysis, etc.
  • Build and execute email marketing campaigns, including: html coding, list queries and subscriber management, testing, and reporting and analysis
  • Prepare analytics reports
  • Work with several cross-departmental teams on new custom client requests, release planning, testing, and trouble-shooting
  • Create IT tickets for custom client requests, new development, and issues
  • Create and maintain user test cases, and process and system documentation
  • Adherence to digital brand standards and online accessibility compliance
  • Other marketing or digital activities as required

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Advanced competencies in website management: HTML5, CSS, and content management systems (CMS); experience working with Sitefinity CMS an asset; experience working in multiple languages within CMS an asset
  • Advanced competency with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other CRM systems and email management systems, such as IBM Marketing Cloud
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Analytics and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • B2B and B2C digital marketing experience
  • Understanding of user interface design, graphic design, and responsive and mobile design an asset
  • Have exceptional organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Proven attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Strong project management skills with ability to work on strict deadline pressure, and manage multiple projects
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with several cross-departmental teams
  • Quick learner with the ability to understand complex business processes
  • Bilingualism (English/Spanish) an asset
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma; Computer Science, Marketing or Digital Marketing or Digital Media preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a digital asset or content curation role
