The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Marketing department’s successful delivery of initiatives to achieve planned organizational strategic objectives by co-coordinating all marketing, advertising, and promotional initiatives. This includes direct mail, web, and social media activities. This includes the distribution of online marketing campaigns, as well as post-dissemination analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of campaigns through direct mail, email, web, social media, and other digital vehicles;
- Work closely with the communications team and business owners on the strategic development of campaigns t to ensure optimal results;
- Advocate for the customer experience, and seek and develop new initiatives in digital marketing;
- Ensure quality control of campaign communications and web postings using digital marketing expertise;
- Clean and segment data using Access Database and SQL queries;
- Design email templates using HTML and CSS with Dreamweaver;
- Responsible for tracking and analysis of email and web campaigns, and reporting these findings;
- Identify opportunities to enhance response rates, maximize site traffic flow, and improve conversion rates;
- Partner with other departments to analyze and report on campaigns and test results;
- Develop and execute customer segmentation strategy using CRM system;
- Coordinate SEO (CPC, Google AdWords) keywords optimization;
- Monitor and ensure compliance with PIPEDA, CAN-SPAM and CMA best practices;
- Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results;
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree in Database/Digital Marketing or related field;
- 3+ years of experience in campaign management, data-mining and web analytics;
- Capacity to creatively convert marketing objectives into professional web and email designs;
- Strong knowledge of campaign management and reporting processes;
- Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMSs), email deployment and analytical software;
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Access, Acrobat and other MS Office and Acrobat Creative Suite programs;
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and Flash an asset;
- Solid comprehension of FTP, web browsers, interactive media, SEO ans SEM;
- Microsoft Dynamics an asset
- Experience with Google Analytics, keyword research, social media and conversion optimization;
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a faced-paced environment;
- Flexible and able to work independently and within a collaborative, team-oriented environment;
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Strong time management and organization skills;
- Ability to manage tight, changing deadlines and work under pressure with conflicting priorities;
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
