Position Summary:

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Coordinator assists the Marketing team and internal stakeholders in updating and maintaining the college's corporate website, Intranet, myCentennial Student Portal, program databases, mobile websites, social media and promotional print publications. The incumbent is responsible for developing creative, innovative and engaging content that reflects the college’s vision and image

Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with Marketing team to develop, implement and execute creative marketing strategies to meet the needs of internal stakeholders
  • Develops strategies, creates content and updates all Centennial College social media platforms  (e.g. Facebook/ Twitter/ Instagram/ Linkedin/ SnapChat/ YouTube/ Google Plus/ Pinterest)
  • Engages with online communities through innovative emerging social media trends and technologies
  • Creates and monitors effective benchmarks for measuring impact of social media programs; analyses, reviews and reports on effectiveness of campaigns providing recommendations as appropriate
  • Facilitates training sessions on social media best practice to various departments and working groups around the college
  • Maintain online communications for college news, featured stories, blog posts, events pages and, social media
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and performs content updates or changes to the college websites; including content, images, video, and all related media
  • Utilize Adobe Premiere Pro to create video content as needed by internal stakeholders and Marketing department
  • Ensures all non-technical issues, involving the web and social media properties above, have been adequately resolved in a timely manner
  • Practices good content management
  • Adhere to search engine optimization best practices
  • Researches industry trends in the areas of print, social media and web marketing
  • Prepares reports and reviews analytics on an ongoing basis to determine campaign/strategy success
  • Coordinates resources and external relationships with marketing agencies partners
  • Additional duties as required

Qualifications/Experience

  • 3-year diploma/degree in Corporate Communications, Marketing or Public Relations
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in marketing, advertising or media
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in digital marketing activities such as: maintaining websites (content and graphics), writing and editing online materials, utilizing social advertising platforms ( e.g. Facebook Power Editor, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc) and creating compelling content for social media
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and Indesign required
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external partners
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage several projects at once
  • Ability to develop creative and original ideas that reflect the college’s vision and image
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
