Blender is a full-service digital agency specializing in investor marketing solutions.  In the last decade we have worked with over 500 publicly traded and private companies providing digital strategy, design, development, and marketing campaign management.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Our head office in Coal Harbour, Vancouver has an opening for a Digital Designer. The role involves working on client projects as well as internal product development. The Digital Designer will work closely with the company’s President, Creative Director, Project Manager and Development Team on strategy and project execution. We’re looking for someone very entrepreneurial who is highly creative and passionate about design.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

This opportunity is for you if you meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience designing for the web and mobile, ideally in an agency setting
• Experience in UX or IA creating interfaces, large scale websites, or applications
• Proficient with common user experience principles and best practices
• Higher understanding of how digital design relates to business and marketing
• Strong communication skills – with the ability to clearly present design ideas to a non-technical room including explaining rationale of designs
• Must be obsessed with details and have the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time
• Strong, analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proactive and motivated to continually learn and keep up with industry trends
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for solving creative challenges
• Comfortable working with Adobe CS including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

Nice to haves:

• Front-end development knowledge or skills (HTML, CSS)
• Copywriting skills
• Animation skills (After Effects or other)
• Illustration skills
