Digital Designer and Programmer contract

We are a busy (and fun!) design agency in Yaletown fueled by a team of 24 highly talented individuals all doing great, award-winning work for some of the biggest lifestyle brands in the retail, F&B and travel sectors out there.

We are looking for the same energy and drive in someone for the position of Digital Designer and Programmer.

Working with our team of world-class graphic designers, your skills will bring work to life in the digital and interactive space - with the team, and as a stand-alone talent. You will also have the forthwith to generate new ideas and new opportunities in that space as we grow our digital offering.

You are a front end developer who has the ability to build modern HTML5 sites from scratch and edit CSS code by hand. Basic Javascript and PHP skills to debug script problems and wordless plugin integration will be needed. Additionally video editing and publishing abilities are required.

Photography for social is also an asset.

As an ideal candidate, you will have 3 - 5 years minimally of experience in this space, have a strong knowledge of branding through social media and an excellent eye for design. You can own a project from start to finish, build an entire website, digital contest, video and more.

You will need to show that you can work quickly, efficiently and autonomously and be mindful of client and internal deadlines and budgets. Your references will speak to that and more. Plus it helps if you can tell a good joke!
