Digital Analytics Lead (14 Month Contract)
About the Team
The Marketing Analytics team is a key strategic partner to several internal departments responsible for the management of the AIR MILES Reward Program. Through insightful and timely analysis of data from a multitude of sources, the team is responsible for providing analytics support for the entire AIR MILES Reward Program in areas including Collector Experience, Digital, AIR MILES Program Design, Marketing Channels, New Product Development, and Brand Management.

What will you be doing?
Lead the digital data capture and digital data governance roadmap
Maintain and evolve the digital data capture and tagging process and guidelines using
Define quality assurance and testing activities to ensure accurate and efficient data collection
Configure analytics and tag management tools and troubleshoot web analytics data problems
Develop code to capture key user interactions in our digital platform, ensuring the information is available for business consumption
Ensure the integration with other data, tools and with our internal data lake
Create, communicate and enforce a digital data governance processes
Produce and maintain code and data documentation, including implementation design, tool configuration and data dictionaries
Be a key partner and a consultant
- Work with internal clients to understand their business objectives, scope and KPIs and translate them into digital measurement plans and data collection strategies
Work with technical teams to ensure the implementation and validation of those strategies
Provide technical support and training to internal teams around analytics tagging, data validation and data integration
Create technical and non-technical instructions for client internal technical staff
Contribute to the evolution of our digital measurement practice towards our digital analytics maturity vision and centre of excellence
Develop skills to allow you to support and become a backup for other members of the team
Deliver internal training and assist with other related projects and program-wide initiatives
Be an entrepreneur
- Find new ways to apply your technical and analytical prowess to our business
Improve and automate process using a variety of tools to drive operational efficiency
Identify further opportunities for clients by keeping abreast of industry/competitive trends
Use other data analysis tools as needed
What will you bring?
3+ years of relevant work experience with Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Intelligence, Mathematics or an equivalent degree a relevant field of study
Hands on experience implementing data collection for digital analytics tools (i.e. Adobe Analytics - Omniture, Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Webtrends)
Experience with Tag Management tools such as Google Tag Manager, Ensighten, Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager or Tealium
Hands-on proficient experience with SQL, relational databases or cloud database environments
Nice to have:
Familiarity with different web development platforms and programming languages
Programming skills in SAS, R, Python or Scala, an asset
Experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.)
Good grasp of common web protocols (HTTP, FTP), CMS and web architecture
Experience in an agency or consulting setting an asset
