STATUS: Full Time Contract (3 years +)

Summary:
St. Joseph Media is Canada's third largest magazine publisher with brands including award-winning titles such as Toronto Life, FASHION, Weddingbells, MARIAGE Québec, Where Canada magazines, Canadian Family and Quill & Quire.

St. Joseph Media has been awarded the contract to publish Shoppers Drug Mart magazines, Glow and Pure (French) and is now looking for a Copy Editor. The Copy Editor will be responsible for maintaining Glow’s grammatical accuracy and assist the Managing Editor with overseeing fact-checking, scheduling and other process driven needs.

Responsibilities:

• Copy editing and proof reading all editorial material to appear in Glow
• Copy editing in-house marketing material to appear in Glow
• Overseeing freelance copy editors and proofreaders
• Maintaining and updating Glow’s style guide
• Copy editing material for any content related to Glow (digital and print)

The ideal candidate will have:

• 1 or 2 years’ experience copy editing
• Be familiar with CP and Chicago style
• Have impeccable grammar, spelling, punctuation and writing skills
• Possess extreme attention to detail
• Possess superior time management skills
• Be able to work collaboratively with editors and writers
• Be familiar with InDesign or InCopy
• Be able to work with minimal supervision
