Reporting to the Director of Communications and Public Affairs, the Communications Officer will join a team of communicators working on The Divisions of Family Practice, a program designed to improve primary care delivery in the province. The Communications Officer must have a passion for writing. You will research and write various materials including newsletters, articles, case studies, press releases, brochures and web copy. You will also be responsible for identifying media relations opportunities and for initiating media contacts. Using your collaborative style, you will work with multiple stakeholders from the BCMA and Ministry of Health on board with your communications strategies The successful candidate has an interest in health care delivery, is an intermediate communicator with 5-7 years of experience and has specific expertise and interest in writing a broad range of communications materials.
This is a full-time six month contract position.
