We are the Communications department of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB), which is a professional association of REALTORS®. Our team of six provides communications support to our members, real estate Brokers, and we answer inquiries from the general public. We work on a variety of tasks under tight deadlines and though we work hard, we like to laugh.

In this position, it’s important that you like variety and are able to adapt quickly to changes. We are always on the go. Some of the stuff you might work on could include:

  • Writing/editing/proofreading for print and online
  • Social media updates
  • Basic graphic design for print
  • Basic web design and content updates
  • Event planning support
  • Photography and videography support (possibly including basic editing)
  • Media monitoring and distribution
  • Online research and communication planning
  • Government relations support
  • Working with volunteers
  • Analytics tracking
  • Statistics and MLS® data updates

Skills we need you to have:

  • A related degree or diploma and some related Communications experience
  • Strong writing (news, Internet, feature, business, editorial, proposals, technical...) and editing skills
  • An ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and a basic knowledge of InDesign, PhotoShop and HTML
  • A demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize a variety of tasks and work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a “can-do” attitude
  • A positive, ‘roll up your sleeves, think outside the box, no job is too big or too small’ viewpoint on work
  • A great sense of humour
