(Temporary Full-Time Position, up to 12 months)

The Channel Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for the conception, development, implementation, and management of the Direct Channel Sales and Marketing strategy to enable Central 1 clients to grow their customer-base and share of wallet through the online channel.  This role will be focused on creating programs and services to enable Central 1 clients grow in their markets through a combination of online sales strategies and marketing tactics delivered through the clients’ websites using Central 1’s MemberDirect services.  This role requires a senior strategic thinker, with a consulting background and experience with online conversion and marketing within the financial or retail services industries, capable of conceptualizing and developing strategies and tactics, as well as executing them.  Once the services are setup, you will also be required to deliver the programs and services to Central 1 clients with the support from marketing, communications, relationship management, product management and client implementation teams.


You should have a university degree in business, marketing and/or technology, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience of which at least 3 years is focused in implementing online sales and marketing tactics to help B2C businesses grow.  In addition, you must have experience in website analysis and usability, web analytics, search engine optimization and online advertising, leading to online conversions.  Demonstrable results are required.

You must demonstrate highly developed B2B consulting, analytical, problem solving, organizational, time management and budgeting skills, as you will be responsible for ensuring projects and tasks under their control are implemented on time, on budget and to client satisfaction.  Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills are necessary tools to success.

You will be providing provide thought leadership with developing and implementing channel strategy and tactics for financial institutions, as well as developing pricing strategies and tactics.  You should have the ability and desire to explain, teach, coach, and generally enable Central 1 clients to use our tools to achieve measureable results over the long-term.  Other required qualifications include knowledge and understanding of project management principles, methodologies, tools and techniques.  Experience using social media for sales and marketing is an asset.
