About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Associate, Marketing & Events will be responsible for the implementation of the company’s global marketing strategy for corporate and regional offices. This includes events, communications, marketing to the organization’s key audiences: current and prospective portfolio companies; business community influencers; current and prospective investors. They will take a hands-on approach to execute projects related to the corporate website, public relations, investor relations, and all related corporate branding events and programs.



  • Organize participation in industry-related conferences and trade shows
  • Organize investor AGM meetings and prospecting events
  • Plan and implement company summits, speaker series, conferences and regular networking events

Marketing Strategy & Branding

  • Implement a comprehensive growth marketing strategy including a focus on brand messaging, website content, SEO, social media, and advertising/marketing activations
  • Coordinate and maintain all marketing materials, in accordance with the Brand Toolkit
  • Optimize online presence, including directory accuracy and third-party reviews
  • Manage marketing and sponsorship budget
  • Organize delivery of marketing collateral
  • Manage creative agencies for key strategic projects
  • Implement and maintain systems to track and measure all marketing initiatives to evaluate effectiveness and ROI


  • Coordinate regular communications with key stakeholders (including whitepapers and videos)
  • Ensure press release distribution lists is up to date
  • Ensure CRM database is up to date
  • Create and distribute press releases to local media
  • Work closely with investor relations to implement the selling experience

Key Requirements

  • University degree in Marketing, Communications or a related business field
  • 6+ years of marketing and communications experience – emphasis on events
  • Successful track record of implementation of marketing strategy
  • Experience managing the execution of integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience in the financial industry considered an asset
  • Energetic, hands-on and results-driven, from project development and planning through to implementation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, unique and high performing culture
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to partner effectively across different levels and departments within the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize, solve problems and meet deadlines
  • Ability to develop and maintain a professional rapport with clients, investors, consultants, and team members
  • Self-motivated, high energy individual with the ability to motivate others
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex priorities.
  • Superior Microsoft Office skills, familiarity with graphic design
  • Ability to work occasional overtime
