SUMMARY:
Works closely with the Brand Manager and Marketing Director to assist in the successful and timely planning, execution and completion of marketing projects, as well as assisting with promotions, new product launches, advertising, packaging and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Successfully plans and executes special projects as assigned;
  • Coordinates product management and/or cost reduction projects to achieve set goals;
  • Assists in the development and execution of marketing plans, including trade and consumer promotions, packaging, point of purchase and public relations; Coordinates with outside agencies as required;
  • Conducts thorough analysis using AC Nielsen and other data to understand the business and make recommendations to build it further;
  • Assists in developing effective promotions, merchandising and advertising programs to support brands;
  • Closely monitors and analyzes sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity;
  • Evaluates the performance of promotional and advertising initiatives;
  • Supports Brand Manager in developing effective brand advertising;
  • Provides data-based recommendations for building the business;
  • Conducts, reviews and analyzes market research to aid in decision making;
  • Builds relationships with sales to gather market intelligence from field;
  • Works with sales on local promotions;
  • Presents information and research and generates excitement for the brand at sales meetings;
  • Work with product development group on new product launches;

Job Requirements :

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree, business/marketing degree preferred;
  • 1-2 years packaged goods marketing experience preferred;
  • Understanding of basic sales and marketing concepts;
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, decision making,communication and presentation skills;
  • Team player;
  • Strong interest and capacity for learning;
  • Strong computer skills (Windows based applications, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, in a high pressure environment, managing tight deadlines;
  • Ability to make things happen using compelling communication, data and persistence;
