Regional Marketing Strategist -Brampton

Performance Auto Group is seeking a Regional Marketing Strategist  to join their dynamic marketing team Brampton. This role is an exciting opportunity to make an impact as our organization continues to innovate within the automotive industry.

The Regional Marketing Strategist assumes a highly collaborative position, similar to an account director role at a creative agency. This role works with General Managers and other internal clients to create thoughtful marketing plans; review budgets and measurements to ensure efficacy; and contributes to overall organizational marketing strategy.

The Regional Marketing Strategist works with assigned team members, as well as cross-team support roles, to contribute their energy and ideas to campaigns, and devote their particular area of expertise to execution. They guide the formulation of campaigns and associated creative elements, including advertisements, websites, social media, contests, presentations, and other printed and digital media.

This is a supervisory position overseeing a team of marketing professionals, and collaborating across teams. Engaging, empowering team leadership skills are a must. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required for the building of relationships within the community and the development of partnerships.

Essential Job Duties:

Within the Brampton Region, the Regional Marketing Strategist takes responsibility for the following key functions:

  • Liase with General Managers of outlying stores to develop annual dealership marketing strategies, quarterly strategy updates, and monthly marketing plans.

  • Develop creative marketing campaign concepts and strategies that meet the business objectives of the organization, its stores and brands;

  • Create compelling and consistent projects from inception to completion; including websites, online ads, videos, etc.

  • Project-management of regional team members:  brainstorming, concepting, planning, and delivering campaigns, events, and other activities, on schedule;

  • Negotiate media buys as required;

  • Ensure web content is up-to-date, search engine friendly, correctly targeted and optimized for multiple devices;

  • Make recommendations to improve look and feel of campaigns, marketing projects, and websites;

  • Oversee outlying dealership event marketing;

  • Develop and disseminate media releases and articles that benefit the organization;

  • Participate in ongoing research and evaluation of new and relevant technologies;

  • Participate in seeking partnership opportunities and evaluating community sponsorships;

  • Measure and report on all marketing campaigns and mediums, including websites, adwords, and chat;

  • Other duties as required or directed by the Director of Marketing.

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or significant directly related experience.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a marketing professional with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.

  • High energy and vision.

  • Strong ingrained focus on proper planning and measurement.

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and analytics is required; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other marketing tools and systems is highly desirable.

  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with GTA colleagues to create a positive, supportive team environment.

  • Ability to establish strong, sustainable relationships with internal clients, external vendors and partners.

  • Automotive industry experience is highly desirable.
