Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The Advertising and Brand Manager will work with Invesco’s internal creative teams, advertising agencies and media agencies to develop insight-based advertising creative and multi-media communication plans that strategically position Invesco to investors and advisors.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Work with external media agency to plan and execute the Invesco media buy
  • Liaise with external creative agencies to develop advertising and brand campaigns
  • Work with Internal creative teams, product marketing and channel marketing to develop advertising and brand campaigns
  • Develop creative briefs for all advertising and brand initiatives
  • Manage the production of creative for all advertising and brand communications
  • Track, measure and monitor all brand and advertising initiatives
  • Develop media briefs, evaluate media plans and execute plans for advertising communications
  • Track, assess and adjust plans based on impact of creative in market
  • Adherence to budget and standards and processes
  • Build case for and if appropriate launch other forms of communications with investors and advisors (direct mail, interactive, etc.)
  • Recommendation and use of customer research as applicable


Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the financial services or Mutual fund industry preferred
  • Minimum 5 year experience in an advertising/marketing role

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Invesco’s products, services, policies and procedures
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of National Instrument 81-101, 102 and 105 an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of media and communications planning principles
  • Excellent understanding of qualitative and quantitative research as applied to advertising and marketing communications (brand equity tracking, qualitative and quantitative ad testing/pre-testing, customer needs research etc.)
  • Experience in effectively utilizing research to identify key insights to lead brand development initiatives
  • Proven experience in working with an external media agency and in evaluating and implementing multi-media plans
  • Proven experience working with an external advertising agency and thorough understanding of production procedures (TV, Print, Web, Outdoor)
  • Previous exposure to interactive marketing, direct marketing and PR required
  • Proven project planning/management experience - preferably in execution of advertising communications (TV, Print, Digital, Internet Advertising and Outdoor media)
  • Proven experience in budget planning and management

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • University degree or equivalent required

License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Completion of IFIC or CSC an asset

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible, must be willing and available to work extended hours as required
