POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is an entry-level position responsible for the day-to-day advertising scheduling, maintenance and reporting activities for our AAN display advertising solutions. You communicate with Sales to understand and effectively fulfill SSM’s contractual obligations (in terms of click goals) and develop plans for how to reach largest number of in-market car buyers.  You purchase online advertising spaces from different media companies, schedule advertisements according to monthly budgets and determine the best ways to use media to reach the targeted customer group.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING TASKS

Key Accountability - Display Ad Campaign Management

  • Set up and launch display advertising campaigns using different platforms, including Google AdWords, Facebook and internal web-based applications
  • Ensure all designated accounts’ campaigns meet its monthly click goals and are within budget
  • Work with Sales, Creative and Customer Operations at the onset of a campaign to implement, maintain and update all creative and technical requirements throughout campaign lifetime
  • Plan, organize and coordinate with other team members and internal departments to ensure daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed on time and meet expectations

Key Accountability - Display Ad Campaign Reporting

  • Prepare standard and customized monthly ad campaign performance reports
  • Support Customer Success with customer business review meetings by providing insights into ad campaigns performance
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Success and Customer Operations to facilitate information exchange and ensure that all relevant data are captured and reported accurately

Key Accountability  - Ads Quality Assurance

  • Perform simple creative updates and/or offer ideas for updates for designated accounts
  • Validate functionality and ensure a positive, seamless customer experience
  • Record and report any anomalies or deficiencies to appropriate department for further investigation

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Successful performance is defined and measured in terms of quality and timeliness of tasks completed. All ad campaigns are launched within 5 business days and are evenly paced throughout the monthly to meet contracted click goals. Media spent must be within pre-determined budget, expressed in terms of Cost Per Click (CPC). All campaigns’ Google Display Network discrepancy must be within the allowable percentage to ensure ad quality.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Must-have:

  • Completion of high school
  • Experience using a computer, including we browser, preferably in a Mac environment
  • Experience with office suite (MS Word, MS Excel etc.)

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in a similar role, such as Ad Ops Assistant and Media Buyer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline
  • Experience with Google Display Network (GDN)
  • Google AdWords Certification
  • Google Analytics Certification

  • Demonstrated willingness to be resourceful when resources/support is not readily available

  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and timely manner to provide information and seek clarification
