Harvey McKinnon Associates is expanding! We have two new opportunities available for direct response professionals - one in our Vancouver office and one in our Toronto office. If you are passionate about direct marketing for the nonprofit sector, we’d love to hear from you.

About us

Harvey McKinnon Associates is a respected direct response fundraising company. Our mission is to build ethical, loyal relationships between donors and the nonprofit organizations they support. We use our skills in fundraising to help clients build their income and continue their important work.

We believe our work makes a positive difference in the world. HMA was founded on this principle and it is the underlying motivation of everything we do. We value and support each member of our team, and cultivate a fun, vibrant, and results-focused work environment. We offer a competitive benefit plan and profit sharing.

You and your role

As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in our client services team. You’ll be responsible for executing first-class direct response fundraising programs for a variety of charities. A critical part of your role is to manage the mailings that fulfill each client’s direct response strategy. This includes daily communication with your clients, working with our designers and copywriters to produce great creative, and working closely with our Production Team.

You bring with you at least 3-5 years of direct marketing experience, specifically direct mail (either agency or client side). Fundraising experience is a definite asset, but is not essential.

You have a strong commitment to relationship building. You are a ‘self-starter’ who is able to hit the ground running, and thrives in a busy, creative, results-oriented role. You are experienced in the development of mail campaigns, understand the long-term implications of mailing decisions, and can communicate this clearly to clients verbally and in reports. You are skilled in time and project management, and customer service. Great writing skills are an asset. You are comfortable communicating by phone, e-mail, and in presentations. You have a natural aptitude for foreseeing logistical problems and being proactive. You can keep your eye on the big picture, while having excellent focus and attention to detail.

Salary is based on experience - please submit your salary expectations. Our compensation package includes excellent medical benefits and four weeks paid holiday.

We thank all applicants; however only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
