You will have the opportunity to…

• To report to the Manager Digital Design & Development


• Assist the eMarketing group with getting application web development concepts into production while working directly with the existing information technology team and front end web designers and developers


• Work on a number of diverse projects, from web site redesign projects, building tools and calculators, as well as working to enhance current offerings that need additional support


• Work to support marketing efforts for all the divisions


• Be innovative, cutting edge web designer to contribute revolutionary interactive solutions in one of the most progressive in-house digital shops in the financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help lead the creative process for websites and web applications, interactive tools, e-newsletters, and other internet-related projects;


• Act as the lead for web design UI (user interface) and interactivity for all websites and related projects;


• Working on projects in the social media web 2.0 space, developing apps and sites for tablets and mobile devices;


• Find ways to utilize the latest technologies;


• Provide strategic advice to senior management on overall website design and visual navigation strategies;


• Create visually stunning graphics for the web form promotional and navigational use;


• Repurpose existing graphics and content from non-digital media for on-line;


• Create interactive and dynamic Flash animations from scratch;


• Participate in the design of websites for mobile devices;


• Ensure consistency with the DundeeWealth corporate branding standards;


• Monitor competitor and industry websites for design ideas and trends.

Skills and Experience:

• Degree and/or Diploma in Web Design/Graphic Design;


• 5-7 years web design experience;


• 3-4 years experience working with multimedia, including Flash Video and streaming audio;


• Experience managing or supervising experience is considered an asset;


• Demonstrated ability to work within extremely tight deadlines;


• Must provide an exceptionally strong portfolio;


• Must possess a demonstrated artistic ability and a flare for leading-edge website design and intuitive layout;
• Strong marketing understanding/sensibilities;


• Must have expert proficiency in the latest versions of: Photoshop, Flash/ActionScript, HTML, CSS, XML, Java and Javascript and other frameworks;


• Experience working with Adobe Flex, AJAX and other recent technologies considered an asset;


• A proven passion for all things digital (web, tablets, mobile, video, social, etc.);
• Experience in the Financial Services industry an asset;
• Bilingualism (English/French) an asset; and


• Candidate must demonstrate capabilities through a professionally-exhibited digital media portfolio.
