Web Designer Developer full-time

The IT team at Vital Insights is looking for a creative Web Designer/Developer to join our growing team at our global headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.
We’re looking for that rarest of gems: a designer who is just as comfortable coding in .NET as they are creating graphics in Photoshop. The ideal candidate for us is someone who has a team-oriented work style, innovative design aesthetic and an impeccable attention to detail. You will be working with our growing UX team to research, design and implement usability improvements for our world-class Foresight™ platform.
Responsibilities include:
•Working with UX team to implement user interface designs for various web/mobile applications, modules and components.
•Apply eye for design to improve and develop product enhancements, features and upgrades.
•Design client solutions adhering to a combination of Vital Insights brand standards and client corporate compliance
•Recommend interface design elements that enhance the user experience, and conform to the highest standards of usability for Vital Insights’ Foresight™.
•Determine superior ways of implementing functionality without compromising usability
•Create new and/or modify existing graphical elements using Adobe Photoshop to produce the necessary graphic elements for use on our sites as needed.
Qualifications:
•Solid understanding of web usability and interface design standards
•A strong portfolio of work MUST be included for consideration
•At least two years post-secondary education in Graphic Design or Advertising, or other related experience
•Minimum of 1-3 years design work experience
•Proficient knowledge of Adobe CS5 suite
•Required skills: HTML/CSS, PHP, JSP, JavaScript, JQuery, ASP.NET, C# (Basic) and Visual Studio
•Flexible, able to take direction, adapt/adjust to changes and shifting priorities
•Must be detail-oriented and well organized
•Strong written/verbal communication skills
•Able to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
•Self-motivated with a fine eye for the details
•Experience with web application design is considered an asset
