EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Reporting to the Manager of User Experience, the successful candidate will lead implementation for a user experience team that is focused on delivering impactful user-centric design. Because we work on the cutting edge, we need someone who is eager to learn, a creative problem solver with strong communication & collaboration skills, resourceful and with the ability to prioritize. You are expected to:
  • Execute on a detailed feature roadmap while taking direction from the Manager of User Experience
  • Work closely with the UX team to scope and deliver requirements
  • Work closely with UX Development Manager to gather input and execute on project requirements and priorities
  • Hold the UX designers and developers accountable on a daily basis and to the overall execution
  • Lead and facilitate user testing sessions
  • Facilitate the creation of user flows
  • Collaborate with stakeholders both internally and externally to gather input and develop execution plans
  • Work with the enablement team to create a reporting framework from user data to inform UX direction
  • Play an active role in all aspects of the design and development process for both new and existing applications and functionality
  • Ensure team projects/assignments are delivered with high-quality, on-time and efficiency
  • Ability to understand dependencies between processes, technologies, people, and help remove roadblocks
  • Develop documentation to support the UX design & development process, and ensure that documentation, such as UX Guidelines and Brand Voice are up to date
  • Lead a team of designers in multi-technology environment:
  • responsible for creating and maintaining a high performance team
  • manage the lifecycle of employees – e.g. recruiting/retaining, developing/guiding/motivating, managing performance
  • ensure ongoing communication of company/org messages, objectives, goals and strategy into own team
  • Stay current on technology, trends and patterns, and understand how they may fit into or advance our strategic direction

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Multi-year experience in the area of Software design for SaaS with proven technical skills
  • Hands-on experience with software (UX & UI) design, front end development, and proven experience in project management and delivery
  • Experience managing Agile development projects, from planning to delivery
  • Experience in leading a technical team members and providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and leadership
  • Track record of achieving business targets, like quality, scope and time commitments in an international environment

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • University degree in User Experience Design, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, or a combination of education & experience
  • Excellent people management skills, strong dedication to people development and mentoring
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a strong grasp of the English language
  • Confidence in working directly with all levels and disciplines within the product team
  • Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills and a high degree of personal initiative
  • Flexible to changing priorities and requirements with flexibility to react on new challenges and opportunities
  • Ability to encourage innovation and foster a high-energy and focused environment
